Supporting democracy

Since IPSA’s creation, we have published information about the financial support we provide MPs to carry out their constituency and parliamentary duties.

To accompany the annual publication of our data we produce reports explaining how and why funding was allocated, along with a detailed breakdown of the attribution of costs.

These reports are designed to add greater context to two key areas of MP expenditure – employing their staff and running their offices.

It provides an overview of our role in ensuring that all of the spending is legitimate and tackles some common misunderstandings about our funding support for the democratic process.
