IPSA Newsletter, June 2022
Date published: 27 June 2022
It's been 13 years since the MPs' expenses scandal and we've come a long way since then.
For the past 12 years, IPSA has independently set, administered and regulated MPs' pay and business costs.
You can find out more about how things have changed since the creation of IPSA.
We know, however, there are still misconceptions that affect public trust.
We have created this video to address the top five myths. Please feel free to share this video on your channels to help us to tackle the common misconceptions.
You can read about other myths affecting MPs' business costs.
We have also included our latest two articles below. These articles focus on why we've moved away from using the term "expenses" and why it's important that MPs receive an accommodation budget.
We postponed publication following the murder of Sir David Amess MP. Full details can be found in our Bulletin. We hope to confirm the date for resuming publication before the House rises for the summer.
If you have any feedback, please let us know.
With best wishes
