Feedback provided by IPSA staff in the 2017 staff survey

Request

  • All written feedback made by staff in the last staff survey (from free text fields).

  • All written feedback contributions made by staff to the last annual consultation on the Scheme of MPs’ Scheme of Business Costs and Expenses

Response

In December 2017, IPSA launched its annual staff survey, conducted independently on our behalf by a third party, to provide an opportunity for employees to feedback on their experiences in working for IPSA, and to highlight issues they feel should be addressed in the future. This includes the facility for staff to include written feedback in free text fields. The most recent survey was undertaken between 4th -15th December 2017 and 86% of staff responded.

Feedback was provided by staff in confidence, in order to highlight and address issues considered to be of concern as well as what staff felt positive about. Section 41(1) provides an exemption to the right of access where disclosure to the public of information that has been provided to IPSA in confidence by another person would constitute an breach of confidence. This exemption applies to the information itself, rather than any personal data contained within the information.

Responses to our last consultation on the Scheme of MPs’ Business Costs and Expenses (‘the Scheme’) are published on our website. No IPSA staff member made a formal response to this consultation.
