Connected parties' job appraisals

I would be grateful if you could let me know MP's staff who are family members have their jobs appraised

As I have not found the job spec for a senior researcher for an MP I don’t know how their performance is monitored or remunerated fairly, I would be grateful if you could let me know.  Clearly it cant be done by a family member as this would be a conflict of interest?
