With reference to overpayments, how much each MP needs to repay

IPSA holds the information that you request.

In response to a previous request, F1314-146, which asked for details of overpayments made to MPs, we searched our systems for any recorded overpayments made through IPSA’s payroll.  According to our records at the time, there were 7 overpayments in the period requested.  In some cases, these overpayments related to occasions where Members were appointed to, or left, the Panel of Chairs, or where Members stepped down from office early.  In other instances, overpayments were the result of administrative errors on the part of IPSA.

The table below lists the Members of Parliament who, as of the date of the request, were due to make repayments for overpayments received in error. At the time of responding, we have agreed repayment plans with both Members.
