Overpayments of MPs' pay
IPSA holds the information that you request.
In processing your request, we searched our systems for any recorded overpayments made through IPSA’s payroll. According to our records, there have been 7 overpayments in the period requested. In some cases, these overpayments relate to occasions where Members have been appointed to, or have left, the Panel of Chairs, or have stepped down from office early, and in other instances, overpayments were the result of administrative errors on the part of IPSA.

For each year, how much of this money has been recouped?
For the financial year 2010/11, £4954.35 has been recouped. No overpayments were made in 2011/12. For the financial year 2012/13, £862.47 has been recouped so far and we are working with Members to recoup the remaining amounts.
What was the largest overpayment that IPSA can locate within the FOI Act time limit in each of the financial years: 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13?
Based on overpayments IPSA can locate within the FOI Act time limit, what was the average overpayment of MPs who were overpaid in each of the financial years: 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13?
