Cancellation of MPs' payment cards

IPSA holds some of the information that you request.

IPSA does not cancel Members’ payments cards.  Accounts for payment cards are only deactivated by IPSA upon the request of the cardholder, an individual leaving office, the loss of a card or the cardholder’s death.

Although we hold information on accounts that have been deactivated, we are unable to separately identify those that were actively deactivated by IPSA from accounts that have expired and therefore automatically deactivated.  Further, the information that is held does not allow us to separately identify the individual reasons for the card cancellations.
