MPs' and Lords' income from the European Union

Request

Can you tell me who in the House of Commons and Lords receives an income from the European Union and how much?

Response

Thank you for your email asking who in the House of Commons and House of Lords receives an income from the European Union, and how much. Your request has been handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. I can confirm that IPSA does not hold the information you have requested.

IPSA is responsible for the administration of MPs' expense claims and for the payment of MPs' Parliamentary salaries. IPSA does not have a remit covering the House of Lords. Should any MPs or Members of the Lords receive an income from the European Union, such payments would not be administered by IPSA. IPSA does not, therefore, hold the information you have requested.

You may wish to direct your request to the House of Commons FOI team who may be able to assist you further. Their contact can be found here: http://www.parliament.uk/site-information/foi/request-foi/.
